Grant: Unrealistic.
Grant: What if everyone who pretended a book you chose got together to discuss it, but instead talked about TV while drinking wine?
Martin: That’s sadly realistic. What if everyone took notes while reading a book that librarians agree is great, both to show they understood it and to help them take part in requisite discussions about its literary merit?
Grant: What if they didn’t?
Martin: There would be consequences. Dire consequences.
