Patron: What reading level is this book?
Martin: It’s not a video game. The whole concept is nonsensical.
Patron: My teacher says I’m supposed to read books that aren’t too hard or too easy for me.
Martin: Just open it and read a few pages. You’ll know if it’s the book for you.
Patron: No, I won’t. If it’s too difficult it will crush my self-esteem. If it’s too easy it’ll be worse than junk food.
Martin: Trust me, if you want to read it, it’s fine for you no matter what.
Patron: What if I get in trouble?
Martin: What if you’d love that book but you never find out?

Good last line.
Too true!
If the kid asked about how many points its worth, this would be my life!
The thing is, there is a program in the schools called Accelerated Reader where books are worth different amounts of points.
