Jody: Since this is your first time using the meeting room, I need you to sign here to acknowledge your compliance with these rules.
Patron: The meeting has to be open to the public? Why would anyone from outside our homeowner’s association want to go to our meeting?
Jody: No reason, really.
Jody: Unless you have snacks. Or chairs. Or if you’ve irritated someone on the staff. In those cases I can practically guarantee you a room full of miscreants.
