Grant: I see some ebooks that might offer you some help but...
Patron: But what?

Grant: None of them are peer reviewed.
Patron: I don’t care.

Grant: In fact, they all seem to have been written by noted crackpots.
Patron: That’s just doctors trying to protect their market.

Grant: I’m afraid these authors are little more than snake oil salespeople.
Patron: Is snake oil a good alternative treatment for my condition?

    I happen to have a jar of genuine snake oil I purchased in the Amazon jungle. It smells terrible.
