Maybe no bad “books”, but there are some less than good authors. I actually gave up on a book once, the writer was so proud of being an “author” and showing off all the literary tricks they could cram into every paragraph. I quickly got tired of the pages screaming “LOOK AT ME, I AM A CLEVER WRITER”.
