Thanks to Macmillan for sponsoring this week’s Library Comic. Please check out Where The World Ends, the extraordinary story of eight boys stranded on a rock in the North Atlantic, by Printz Award winner Geraldine McCaughrean (The White Darkness).

Also, please note, this strip is published with apologies to Chris W.

The world is terrible, I says. I’ll go read my comics for a mood boost, I says.

The comic has been getting rather dark and grim lately. Besides, the idea of his books not loving him back is absurd. I mean, how could they not? Although they may be asking themselves “Which one does he dye, his hair or his beard?” But, being books, they’re too polite to ask out loud.

    1. Michael says:

Being books, they must be too young to realize that men’s hair changes colors at different speeds in different places.

    2. Elliot says:

One can actually have one’s bear turn gray and/or white before one’s hair or vice-versa with or without dye.

      1. Elliot says:

Oops! Although a funny slip, I meant _beard,_ not _bear!_ Sorry for the typo.
