If you have already considered the authors reputation, the publishers reputation, the blurbs, skimmed the first couple pages, and still did not leave it on the shelf, might as well check it out. If you get a few chapters in and decide you hate it, just put on the “done” pile to take back later :}

Or, just check it out if you like the title or the cover. If you only get a chapter in, so be it. You gave the library a circulation number!
