When I went to my first ALA get-together way back in…well, way, way back, I would take _every_ freebie I could get my hands on and ended up recycling as much as I could before stuffing my suitcase and backpack. As the years went by, I took fewer and fewer giveaways and, after a certain number of years, you’d have to _pay_ me to take almost anything. Nowadays, I will only accept something really practical, so enough bags, hot beverage mugs, travel containers, posters, pens, post-its, etc., and definitely no ARCs. No room for any more books either. Novel idea: borrow books and media from libraries.
but… but… it was just SITTING there! staring at me with that soulful font. who could be so cruel hearted as to walk away from such a heartfelt plea?
Thanks for the tip on the post office! I walked 2 blocks (borrowed a rolling crate) and spent $27 shipping my books!
Excellent glad that worked out for you!
Oh it’s Esther! We haven’t seen her for a while
Yeah, I need to figure out what she’s up to other than going to a conference. 🙂

I always appreciate you stopping by our booth to say hello, and now that I think about it you’re usually empty-handed. 🙂
