Martin: You have a right to consult a dictionary. If you can’t find one, I’ll be happy to show you where we have several.
Martin: In fact, let me show you where they are anyway. They’re utterly fabulous, and I often read them for fun!
Patron: No, that’s fine. I’m good here.

I’m totally with Martin on dictionaries!
Martin: You have the right to read silently.
Patron: Would you mind not talking to me? This is supposed to be a quiet area.
That should be the alternate gag for this comic. Panels 3 and 4 are without dialogue, with 3 being Martin looking shocked and the patron looking smug, and 4 being Martin at the counter looking smug himself, holding a finger to Grant’s mouth.
