Jody: People put books they want on hold and then, after they arrive, they come in and pick them up from these shelves.
Patron: Sounds like a good system.
Jody: These books are here waiting to be picked up by the library users who requested them.
Patron: Got it.
Jody: You didn’t request any of them. They’re not here for you to pick up.
Patron: I guess I’m just lucky.
Jody: The people who are waiting for them are going to be unhappy.
Patron: Well if they were in such a rush to read them, they should have beat me here.
Patron: Sounds like a good system.
