(A patron is sitting, looking irritatedly at the irritating patron, as she reads. The irritating patron is leaning in, paying too much attention to the book the patron is reading.)

Laura: I need to ask you to stop paying so much attention to what she’s reading.
Patron: But this is a library. And that’s a book.

(Howard is looking over someone’s shoulder at the book they’re reading.)

Patron: Why does he get away with being creepy?
Laura: He’s a ghost. They’re creepy by definition.
