Martin: No one has reviewed my favorite book in the library catalog.
Grant: Good thing you have so many favorites.
Martin: Why does that sound like an insult?
Grant: Because In the past week you’ve referred to three different books as your “favorite.”
Martin: I’ve got a lot of love for books. I spread it around.
Grant: Apparently you don’t know what “favorite” means.
Martin: When I think about a book I love, I love that one the most, at that moment. Hence the superlative.
Grant: Get a room.

I have other role models. Mine is Dewey in the late “Unshelved.” Not to say that I don’t find these characters a riot, but…just saying.
